Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using Volgo you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Contact: ops@volgo.ai.

2. The service

Volgo provides live transcription, translation, captions, AI-generated summaries and an experimental sign-language avatar for in-person talks and events. Volgo is in an active pilot phase: features, limits and tiers may change.

3. Accounts and guests

Keep your credentials safe; you are responsible for activity under your account. Give accurate information. Anonymous guest access exists for listening and asking questions; unregistered guest identities are deleted automatically.

4. Tiers and fair use

Standard accounts are free and can host events subject to fair-use limits (such as event duration, number of listening languages, and a monthly event ceiling). Premium features — including keeping and sharing full transcripts — are granted as trials or credits and can revert to Standard when they run out. We may adjust limits to keep the service reliable for everyone.

5. Recording responsibilities

Volgo transcribes the words of the people holding the microphone; that is what produces the summary. The app notifies every participant it can reach. As a host, you are responsible for informing anyone who may be picked up by your microphone outside the app, and for complying with the recording-consent laws that apply to your event — Florida, for example, requires all parties’ consent.

6. Acceptable use

  • No unlawful, infringing, hateful or harassing content or events.
  • Broadcast only content you have the right to broadcast.
  • No circumventing limits or security, no scraping, and no reverse engineering except where the law permits it.

We may suspend or remove content or accounts that violate these rules.

7. Your content

Your events, words and questions remain yours. You grant us the license needed to operate the service: to process, store, translate, summarize and deliver your content to your event’s audience. Deleting content or your account ends this license except where the law requires retention.

8. AI accuracy

Transcriptions, translations, summaries and the sign-language avatar are AI-generated and can be wrong, incomplete or delayed. The sign-language avatar is a beta supplement to captions, not a replacement for a human interpreter. Do not rely on Volgo output alone where accuracy is critical (for example medical, legal or safety contexts).

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, including recording-consent obligations.

10. Termination

You can stop using Volgo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for violations of these Terms, with notice where practicable.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA; exclusive venue is the state and federal courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; the date above changes when we do, and material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
